Tribeca Shortlist: Japanese Story

I have to say, I was glad to find out that this is this one of BD Wong's favorite movies, because it's also one of mine. With the refreshing perspective of director Sue Brook's insight, this movie stays faithful to the Japanese art of storytelling. That is to mean, the focus isn't on the outcome, the focus is on the element. I also must admit that this is the only movie where I found myself screaming at the screen, emotionally devastated. Here, BD provides a brief glimpse into some of the brilliance of this movie. It should be on everyone's shortlist, it's just that good.
